Välkommen to a weekend of Swedish folk music and dance! Celebrate the traditional music and dances of Dalarna, Sweden, as brought to the U.S. by Edwin Johnson in 1924. This year marks 100 years since Edwin's emigration and 50 years since he first visited Folklore Village. Enjoy fiddling workshops led by National Heritage Fellow Paul Dahlin, nyckelharpa workshops with Becky Weis and DoAnn Holzman, and dance workshops with Roo Lester and Larry Harding.
The event includes evening parties, cultural sessions, and delicious meals by RedBarn Catering.
All ages and experience levels are welcome!
Admission: Full-time and part-time registration options, scholarships, and discounted rates for teens and youth are available. Affordable on-site accommodations.
