Help build the Driftless Trail this fall

Help build the Driftless Trail this fall

Sunday, October 6, 2024 (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Our sights are set on completing the Driftless Trail segment to the top of the Welsh Hills at Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin estate this fall, and we would love to have your help.

Please consider joining us for a half- or full-day of trail work in September or October. We will provide basic training, tools, and snacks. You should bring work gloves, sturdy boots, safety glasses, water, and lunch. No previous experience is needed. Trail building is a rewarding and enjoyable way to spend a fall day in a beautiful place.

Here are the dates and times for our four remaining work days:

Sunday, September 8 from 9:00am to 1:00pm

Thursday, September 26 from 9:00am to 4:00 pm

Friday, September 27 from 9:00am to 4:00pm

Sunday, October 6 from 9:00am to 1:00pm

DALC's Land Management Specialist, Zach Pacana, will lead the Sunday workdays and Willie Bittner from Great Lakes Trail builders will lead the full-day events.

Sign up to participate here so we can send you details and reach you if we need to cancel for any reason. https://www.driftlessconservancy.org/volunteer
